Lambie
Lambie, a curly loopy wool fabric, is the latest introduction into the Rogers & Goffigon textile collection. It is available in two colorways: Wool, creamy ivory loops with a contrasting beige ground, and Stone, a solid shade of gray. Lambie, soft as a lamb, joins the ever-growing selection of very popular bouclé fabrics in the collection. Lofty loops of bouclé yarn are woven into a background that peeks through and gives this fabric terrific texture. With such a soft hand, it would seem as if this supple fabric would lack stability, but a nifty structure is woven into the back of the fabric yielding a structure that tightly secures what looks like a loose weave. Lambie is best for upholstery or accent pillows in any style of interior.

Sedge
Rogers & Goffigon is pleased to announce the introduction of Sedge, another open weave, textured, wide-width, semi sheer fabric. Sedge is available in one colorway: Papyrus, an off-white and natural grey linen color. A very organic mixture of linen, silk, hemp and wool, this semi-sheer, super textured fabric is woven using a combination of yarns with a thin linen yarn. The thin yarn used in the warp, is threaded in pairs and woven in such a way that the pairs criss-cross, locking the fill yarns in place. In Sedge, the fill yarns are three yarns held together. Known as a leno weave, this clever construction prevents the yarns from slipping, giving firmness and strength the cloth. Sedge is ideal for draperies, lined or unlined. It can add some warmth to a room in a cooler climate without being dense or bulky, and at the same time, let light in.

The original fabric, mostly synthetic, has been upgraded to a fine combination of silk, linen and wool. Poché (pronounced po-shay), which in French means, scribbled or sketched, is the inspiration of this fabric’s name, referring to the vertical and horizontal texture and subtle coloration of this fabric, resembling a delicate pencil sketch. Because of the wide width, Poché can be used for either tall, wide window treatments, or railroaded across wide expanses of windows or sliding doors. The slightly open weave allows just a glimmer of light through, enhancing the textural effect of this beautiful, soft fabric.
